Background
The Internet is a useful tool for communications at all levels, offering a relatively cheap means of disseminating information. Consequently the use of a Club Website is considered to be advantageous to the organisation and supports with “live” information the communication of the club along with the Newsletter.
However, with any unregulated service there are inherent dangers associated with its use, or misuse and it is important that Nuneaton Town Community Football Club has a clear policy for using the Internet and in particular the content of the clubs website.
Policy Statement
The Nuneaton Town Community Football Club Website will be used to further the aims of the club as stated in the Constitution and Rules. It will inform members and the public of the progress of the club, its sections and will seek to foster good relationships in Community Football.
The Site
The site will be managed by the Club Promoter – and overseen by the Executive Management Committee The committee will nominate three members to work with the Promoter to ensure that content of the site is vetted, validated and approved prior to publication.
Team Managers have a responsibility to provide timely and up to date information on their teams progress; events being held or organised and items of general interest for sharing across the club.
Photographs will be used on the site, but no child will be identified individually. Minors photographs will be published only in groups/teams.
Advertising will be considered, provided it meets with the clubs aims and objectives.
The site will be electronically monitored and reports given on hits and usage to the Executive Management committee
