Club Statement | Lee Davies

Nuneaton Town FC can confirm that Lee Davies has stepped down from his roles as Club Director and Commercial Manager due to increasing work and family commitments.

Lee has played an important part behind the scenes at the club, particularly on the commercial side, helping to build relationships with local businesses, attract new partners and strengthen the club’s links within the community.

Everyone at Nuneaton Town would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Lee for the time, commitment and energy he has given to the club.

Lee said:

“It’s with a heavy heart that I’ve made the decision to step away from my role at Nuneaton Town FC. I’ve met some truly amazing people during my time at the club and made friendships that I’ll always value. I’m going to miss everyone more than you’ll probably realise.

More than anything, I hope that one day soon this club, its supporters and the wider community finally get a ground to call home again. You all deserve it.

This certainly isn’t goodbye for good. I’ll be back soon to watch a game, catch up with everyone and have the chance to say goodbye properly. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and made my time at the club so special.

UTT 💙”

Chairman Ian Cook paid tribute, saying:

“I’d like to place on record my sincere thanks to Lee for his outstanding contribution and commitment. His hard work and determination have played a huge part in pushing our football club in the right direction. Lee, you have our genuine gratitude and will always be welcome at the club.”

We fully understand and respect Lee’s decision. Family and work must always come first, and he leaves his roles with the very best wishes of everyone connected with Nuneaton Town FC.

The door will always be open for Lee and we look forward to welcoming him back to a game soon.

Thank you for everything, Lee. Once Town, always Town. 💙🤍
