Justin Marsden Steps Away
Nuneaton Town FC can confirm that Justin Marsden has decided to step away from his role at the football club.
Justin has played an important part in our journey since the club’s formation, both as a player and coach, helping guide Nuneaton Town to back-to-back league titles and promotions.
His experience, dedication and commitment have been invaluable during an incredible period for the club.
Rebuilding a football club from scratch was never going to be easy, but people like Justin have helped make our journey possible, both on the pitch and behind the scenes.
Everyone at Nuneaton Town would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Justin for everything he has contributed. We wish him all the very best for the future, and he will always be welcome back at the club.
Joint managers Russ Dodd and Darren Acton said:
“We would like to say a massive thank you to Justin for everything he has done in supporting and working alongside the management team to help the club achieve what it has today.
Justin has been brilliant for us over the last few years, as a player, an assistant and, most importantly, as a person.
We wish him all the very best in whatever he decides to do next.”
Justin also wanted to share the following message with supporters:
“There are some football clubs you play for where you will always look back on with pride and for me, Nuneaton Town is very much that.
Stepping away from the club is difficult because this has never just been about football. It has been about the people, the environment, the friendships, the memories, the standards, and a shared belief in achieving something.
I feel incredibly proud to have represented this club — not once, but across two very different chapters of my career. The first time around, we were building something special. Back-to-back promotions - Big games, Big moments, and a group of players who simply refused to accept anything less than success.
Coming back years later, I found that same spirit. Different players, different circumstances, different relationships, however the same mentality with Back-to-Back League Titles.
Those achievements will always mean a huge amount to me because they weren’t achieved by individuals. They were achieved by a group of people pulling in the same direction — The Management team, The Players, Every volunteer, All behind the scenes but most importantly you, The Fans, the heartbeat of the club. Your support, home and away, has been incredible.
I’ve given as much as I could to Nuneaton Town, and I leave with no regrets — just gratitude. Gratitude for the opportunities. Gratitude for the friendships. Gratitude for the memories.
Football moves on, yet I’ll always look back at my time with Nuneaton with enormous pride.
Thank you, Up the Boro”
💙 Thank you, Justin, for helping write the first chapters of our new history.
Once Town, Always Town. 🔵⚪
