KYLE COMMITS

We are delighted to announce that Kyle Jardine, who has already scored 13 goals in 14 games since joining at the start of the season, has signed a contract to remain with Nuneaton Town until the summer of 2027. We can confirm that his existing terms have now been formalised into a contract and the club also have the option of extending for another season.

After putting pen to paper Kyle said “I’m buzzing to have committed to the club. The atmosphere around the place is fantastic. The fanbase at this level is unbelievable and it’s a privilege to play in front of them week in, week out. Everyone has made me feel so welcome from the lads to the supporters and I can’t thank them all enough.”

Joint manager Russell Dodd said "The management team are delighted that Kyle has agreed to sign the contract and commit to the club for the next few years. We are trying to build a squad that can help the club go up the leagues in the years to come and it’s so important that the club support us in agreeing things like this. Darren and I would like to personally thank the board for supporting us in this decision and I’m sure Kyle won’t be the last player to sign a contract at Nuneaton as it’s so important for the future.”

Treasurer and Director Lee Hayward said “Whilst we may look to committing to other contracts in the future, we want to reassure our supporters that this approach will not alter the sustainable playing budget that was set at the start of the season. Our commitment to building a competitive team within our means remains unchanged.”

Finally, the club’s chairman Ian Cook added “Securing our first contracted player is a landmark moment, a clear statement of intent and the foundations of our journey back up the pyramid. Since Kyle arrived, it’s been clear why Russ and Darren brought him to the club. His impact on the pitch speaks for itself, this contract is both a reward for his outstanding start and a clear statement of our ambition. Securing him on a long-term contract shows we’re moving in the right direction by tying down one of the league’s top strikers.

Myself along with my fellow board members believe that Kyle has a fantastic future ahead of him, one that can run side by side with the club’s ambitions and our rise back up the football pyramid.”
