What was a new environment for Nuneaton fans last season will now be familiar territory this season as they face Bedworth United in an expression of the continued friendship between the two neighbours. It will also be the first match on Bedworth’s relaid 4G pitch.

Bedworth could have faced Nuneaton in the league this season but secured their survival with a game to spare thanks to an Easter Monday victory over Rugby Town, who were relegated but reprieved due to Leicester Road withdrawing from the league.

The fledgling Nuneaton Town side were only in their 2nd match when the sides met last season but gave Bedworth a good test, and will hope to do the same again. After facing two sides from Step 6 in their opening pre-season fixtures, Town will look to test their newly assembled squad against Step 4 opposition.
