Nuneaton Town will be looking to bounce back after an opening fixture defeat against Mickleover on Tuesday night. They’ll face a hotly-tipped Carlton Town who suffered a surprise 5-0 defeat at Boldmere St Michaels on the same evening. Carlton had won their opening league fixture on Saturday away at St Ives Town (3-2). Last season Carlton Town finished in second place and lost in the play off semi final against Rugby Borough on penalties. Carlton Town have two players who will be familiar faces for Town fans in keeper Dan Jezeph and striker Ashley Chambers.

Join the A5 southbound, join the M69 and travel north until J3 and join the A46 (Leicester Western Bypass) heading towards Newark. After around 19 miles take the A6097 ramp to Mansfield/East Bridgford/Bingham, at the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto Bridgford St/A6097. When you reach Lowdham turn right onto the A612 (Nottingham Road). After approximately 4 miles turn right on to Stoke Lane where you’ll see the ground on the right. Please Note: enter the ground via the A612 DO NOT Go Down Stoke Lane and over the crossings and through the Bus Lane, as there is a CAMERA outside the ground, anyone going through the BUS LANE will receive a £70.00 FINE.
Public transport:
The best route is via train and bus. Take the train to Nottingham (via Leicester), once at Nottingham, walk to the Trent Street bus stop (Stop N6), and get on the 45 Red Line towards Bakersfield. Get off at Rivendell Academy (21 stops) and continue walking up the A612 until you reach Stoke Lane and the ground (ten min walk).
