Nuneaton Town complete their United Counties Premier South roster on Saturday afternoon as they finally face Eynesbury Rovers, in a first meeting between the two clubs.

The Town will be looking to continue a perfect 2026 so far, having made it 3 wins out of 3 against local rivals Hinckley last Saturday. Despite conceding a first goal of the year through former Town striker Chandler Pegg, early goals from James Harrison and Eesa Sawyers with another double assist from Callum Carsley was enough to seal the points, and open up a 7 point gap at the top as March Town United dropped more points at home to Aylestone Park.

Eynesbury Rovers sit in 13th in the league, with 10 wins, 3 draws and 12 losses, totalling 33 points. However just 4 of those wins have come at home, with only 13 goals scored. Eynesbury have remarkably not drawn a single game since August, and last time out lost 4-1 at resurgent Atherstone Town.

Nuneaton have been further boosted by recent signings - Courtney Nyakuhwa and Tali Jallow could make their debuts on Saturday - Jallow will be looking for revenge as he played in Newport Pagnell's 1-0 defeat at Eynesbury 2 weeks ago.

As Nuneaton edge ever closer to a potential second successive promotion, can they get an 8th straight league win?

History:

One of the five longer trips for Nuneaton Town this season, Eynesbury Rovers are expected to be tough opponents, having lost in the play offs last season.

They were formed in 1897, and they have won the Huntingdonshire Senior Cup 16 times. Their current ground has been their home since the early 1930s, and the record attendance of 5000 was set in a friendly against Fulham in 1955, when Stanley Matthews featured for the Eynesbury side.

They are current holders of the United Counties League Cup, having beaten Lincoln United 2-0 in the final last season. They have been at Step 5 since 2013, having been transferred between the Spartan South Midlands League and United Counties League.
