Nuneaton's final match of a condensed pre-season sees them face off with another Warwickshire team, Leamington.

The match will bring back memories of the previous Nuneaton Town reformation back in 2008, where Town lost out on the Southern League Division 1 Midlands league title to Leamington in a thrilling title race, before winning the play offs, and getting the better of them in the Southern League Premier the following season by earning promotion again through the play offs.

The title of 'best team in Warwickshire' belonged to Nuneaton for many years, but has been taken by Leamington in recent years due to the final troubles experienced in the northern end of the county. However Nuneaton will look to try to restore some pride in that competition ahead of the league season opening match the following Saturday.

Former Nuneaton players that could feature include Theo Streete and Adam Walker.

Nuneaton's pre-season results so far have been mixed, losing 2-1 against Lutterworth Athletic, Sutton United and Bedworth United, then winning 8-1 against Nuneaton Griff, before going down 1-0 at Step 4 Stafford Rangers at the weekend, so we will be looking to end on a positive note before the season starts on Saturday at Newport Pagnell Town.
