Nuneaton Town make another attempt at the longest trip of the season as they look to continue to close in on the title, making the 'march to March in March' on Saturday afternoon, after the original game in January was postponed.

The two sides were separated by just one goal on Christmas Day at the top of the table, and this match was earmarked as a potential title decider. Fast forward to now and Nuneaton now sit 22 points clear of their opponents and will eliminate them from the title race with a draw or better.

A win could give Nuneaton the opportunity to win the title at The Oval next Saturday, with just 6 points needed to eliminate Coventry United from the title race and secure a top 2 spot, and a further point needed to eliminate Atherstone Town and seal the title.

March Town United, known as The Hares in reference to the march hare from Alice in Wonderland, sit in 3rd in the league and despite poor recent form still look in a good position to reach the play offs, being 7 points clear of 6th with 8 to play.

Since Christmas they have won 3, drawn 3 and lost 3. However their home form remains strong with 11 wins 2 draws and 2 defeats and just 10 goals conceded, the best home defensive record in the league. They haven't lost at home since a shock home defeat to GNG Oadby Town in September.

Nuneaton haven't lost away in the league since their own shock defeat to Easington Sports, a 9 game unbeaten away run. A general unbeaten run in all competitions is now at 15 for Nuneaton, and have yet to taste defeat in 2026.

March's dangerous wingers Florian Tsaguim and Rio Henson lead the scoring with 18 and 15 goals respectively, while striker Toby Allen chips in with 10, so the Nuneaton defence will need to be on their toes.

In form striker Kyle Jardine has 9 goals in his last 5 games for Nuneaton in all competitions, including Saturday's last minute winner at home to Daventry, and will hope to continue his fantastic recent form, which has seen him race to the top of the league goalscoring charts.

It's set to be a huge clash in Cambridgeshire, and a full coach of fans is on its way to back the lads to within 4 points (or better) of the title.
