Nuneaton Town play their 11th of their 38 league games on Saturday as they host Northampton Sileby Rangers in a first meeting between the two sides, looking to extend their unbeaten start to the season from the first 10.

Nuneaton's 8 wins and 2 draws from those games currently gives them a 6 point lead at the top of the United Counties Premier South, over 2nd placed Aylestone Park. It was almost a 9 point lead but for a last minute goal in the match between the two sides on Tuesday which denied Nuneaton an important win. It also kept Aylestone Park's own unbeaten start going.

Northampton Sileby Rangers sit 16th in the table with 2 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses. They remarkably are better away than at home, picking up 6 of their 9 points on their travels, and their 2-1 loss to Histon on Tuesday was their first away loss in any competition this season, so it could be trickier than it looks on paper for Nuneaton to get the points.

Kyle Jardine, newly contracted for 2 years, will be looking to add to his 13 goals this season.

History:

Sileby Rangers were formed in 1968 after the Sileby Engineering Works, named after Sileby in Leicester. They initially played in Sunday leagues, but after winning the Northampton Town League, they were promoted to the United Counties League in 1993. They won division one 3 times several times but couldn't be promoted due to a lack of floodlights. They became Northampton Sileby Rangers in 2000 to link themselves to the town further.

They finally reached Step 5 with a 4th win in 2012-13, beating AFC Rushden & Diamonds to the title, and have solidified at Step 5 since.
