Pre-season Round Up

Nuneaton Town’s preparations for the 2026/27 campaign have come to an end after eight competitive pre-season fixtures with the squad showing plenty of encouraging signs ahead of the new season.

Boro finish pre season with five wins, one draw and two defeats. The team demonstrated resilience with a comeback victory over Hinckley AFC after recovering from a two goal deficit, while convincing wins over Sutton United and Coalville Town showcased the attacking quality within the squad.

The squad also faced a stern test against National League North side AFC Telford United, producing a strong performance despite the narrow defeat. Although the trip to Lutterworth Athletic ended in defeat, the players responded well in the remaining games.

Eesa Sawyers was in outstanding form finding the net on multiple occasions. Charlie Jones, Bradley Stretton, Terry Atem and Jimmy Armson also scored more than once during the busy summer schedule.

With valuable minutes in the legs and new partnerships developing across the pitch, we now turn our full attention to the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round, where we travel to Westfields before opening our 2026/27 league campaign at home to Mickleover
