Checkmate as Chesterton joins

Nuneaton Town FC are delighted to announce that talented left-back Harry Chesterton has agreed terms with the club ahead of the new season.

Harry joins the club following an impressive rise through the Midlands non-league and academy system, bringing with him strong defensive qualities, attacking intent and excellent potential.

A product of the academies at Aston Villa FC and Walsall FC spending three years with each club before Harry later signed with Solihull Moors at 16 years old. Harry then went and earned individual recognition during his spell with Coventry United in 2023, where he picked up both Young Player of the Season and Coaches’ Player of the Season awards.

It was with Moors Academy where he continued his development before enjoying a highly successful loan spell at Darlaston Town that was made permanent following his release from his parent club.

During his time at Darlaston, Harry quickly established himself as one of the standout young full-backs in the division, becoming a vital part of the defensive unit while also offering a constant threat going forward. His performances earned widespread praise for his maturity, energy and consistency down the left-hand side.

Harry told the club media team “I’m looking forward to meeting the lads and to get the season started!”

Joint manager Russell Dodd said “Harry is an exciting young full back who loves to attack, but also a very good defender

Harry has a great career ahead of him and I’m sure he will have a successful time at Nuneaton for years to come”

Welcome Harry!
