Green light given for Gillies to join from Gornal

Nuneaton Town FC are pleased to announce that 22-year-old left sided defender/midfielder Callum Gillies has agreed terms with the club after recently departing Gornal Athletic.

Callum made his first appearance for the club on Saturday at Bugbrooke St Michaels and was part of the initial group of players bought in by Acco & Russ in June 2024. However, he had to make the decision to leave the club during preseason. He went on to feature for Dudley Town and Cradley Town before joining Gornal Athletic at the start of the 2025/26 season.

Gillies spent the 2023/24 season playing for Tividale FC in the Midland Football League Premier Division (Step 5). Callum’s breakout season was the 2021/22 campaign, where he scored eight goals from 25 starts for Halesowen Town Under 21’s. The following season saw Callum make appearances for Bewdley Town and Lye Town, before moving to Tividale.
