Harrison, Hendrie and Hesson commit
We are pleased to announce that James Harrison, Stuart Hendrie and Dante Hesson have agreed terms to stay for the 2026/27 season!
James Harrison:
The 26 year old winger has been a mainstay of Nuneaton Town’s rise from Step 6 to Step 4, and will be looking to continue playing a big part in the rise back up the leagues, having netted 27 goals in 98 appearances so far. Harrison was 3rd in both the scoring and assists charts last season, scoring 11 goals and assisting 10 others, and will be looking forward to trying to add to those tallies against higher opposition this season.
The former Burton Albion, Coleshill Town, Gresley Rovers and Ashby Ivanhoe man spent the end of last season at Coleshill on dual registration following the completion of Nuneaton’s season, and will be facing them for Nuneaton this season.
Stuart Hendrie:
The 36 year old attacking midfielder, brother of one time England international Lee and formerly of Aston Villa youth, Morecambe and French side Montpellier, along with a raft of local non-league sides, has been with Town from the start of the 2024-25 season, providing experience in the middle of the park and on the wing, and has scored 7 goals in 71 appearances for the club over his 2 seasons so far.
Last season, along with his 6 assists, Hendrie’s 3 goals included a memorable goal against Northampton ON Chenecks scored with the outside of his boot right into the top corner, which earned him the Town’s goal of the season. Fans will be hoping there’s a few more of those in Stu’s tank this season.
Dante Hesson:
The 18 year old midfielder impressed in the Midland League Divison 1 with Paget Rangers, and made the switch to Town for the start of last season. Dante has been continuing his development with the club and out on loan at Chelmsley Town. Dante made 28 appearances in total for Nuneaton in his first season with the club, scoring 2 goals, and clocking up 3 assists, becoming a fan favourite with his pace, skill and enthusiasm. Hesson will therefore be looking to push on to challenge for regular starting places this season.
