Nomad Murphy in Town Transfer

Nuneaton Town are delighted to announce they have agreed terms with Liam Murphy.

The 21 year old forward makes the switch from Anstey Nomads, having joined them at the start of last season having previously played for Bedworth United and Boldmere St Michael's.

Liam Murphy, who is the nephew of Nuneaton Borough legend Gez Murphy, made his debut for Bedworth at just 17 (as a sub replacing our very own Eesa Sawyers), scoring his first goal in a 3-0 win over Gresley the following season. Since then Liam signed for Boldmere St Michael's before returning to the Greenbacks. He then signed for Anstey Nomads for the 2025-26 season where he was the top scorer in their long FA Trophy run with 9 goals, and scored 17 goals overall in 42 appearances for the title winning side. For Boldmere in the season before, he also scored 14 goals, made 7 assists in 24 starting appearances.

Welcome to the club Liam!
