Weather conditions once again permitting, Nuneaton Town look to make it 11 league wins on the bounce as they make the short trip east to Lutterworth Town on Tuesday night.

An impressive 2nd half showing proved too much for bottom side Bugbrooke St Michael's as they were beaten 4-0 at The Oval with Carsley's double added to by an own goal and Harrison's deflected effort.

Lutterworth had their game at Aylestone Park on Saturday rained off, so will be well rested, and have won their last 3 - which are the only 3 games they have played this year, with their last 2 wins being by a score of 4-3, which evidences that it could be an interesting game between two teams who both have a 100% record so far in 2026.

Lutterworth also proved a tough opponent earlier in the season as they went into a two goal lead at The Oval before Nuneaton eventually fought back with a late equaliser to draw 2-2 and preserve their then unbeaten home record.

The home team sit 7th in the table with 13 wins, 5 draws and 7 defeats, and are still in with a shout of the play offs, with 5 games in hand on 4th placed Moulton and a 6 point deficit. They have won 8 of their 11 home games, losing the other 3, scoring 24 goals and conceding 11.

Due to its convenient location, Lutterworth is well known for its Magna Park complex just outside the town, one of the largest industrial complexs in the area, built on a former World War II aerodrome. And the town is famous for Sir Frank Whittle, who developed the first jet engine there in the 1930s; a replica of his first jet engined plane sits on a roundabout on the A5 just south of the town.

The town was a happy hunting ground last season, as Nuneaton won 7-1 at neighbours Lutterworth Athletic. With just 3 more goals required for another 100 goal season for Nuneaton Town in all competitions, can they win again and edge closer to the title?
