Nuneaton Town's final match of the season takes them over to Stamford for the United Counties League Knockout Cup Final as they take on Moulton. Having won the Premier South last month to seal back to back league titles and promotions, Nuneaton will look to add a 3rd trophy to the collection in 2 years and a first cup success for Russ and Darren.

It's been a fortunate route to the final, as Nuneaton were well beaten at The Oval by Coalville Town in the semi final in a ruthless performance by the away side, only for them to be removed from the competition due to an ineligible player, reinstating Nuneaton into the final.

Moulton's semi final opponents Gresley Rovers were also the beneficiaries of both Clay Cross Town and Kimberley Miners Welfare being removed from the competition for ineligible players.

Nuneaton will be looking to continue a great record against Moulton, having beaten them 5-0 at home and 4-0 away during the league season, in two of their best performances.

About our opponents:

Moulton FC known as The Magpies for their black and white striped shirts, were formed all the way back in 1896, but most of their history has been spent playing local football in the Northamptonshire Combination. They beat Step 6s 2nd highest scorers Desborough Town in a surprise play off final result last season, and played at Step 5 for the first ever time this season, finishing an impressive 8th place with 17 wins, 6 draws and 15 defeats.
