Nuneaton Town fans will be familiar with Lutterworth Athletic having played against them last season in their Midland League Division 1 title win. Lutterworth were very helpful in helping the club with advice about returning to Nuneaton, and so Town will pay them back with their opening pre-season match.
Nuneaton will also head to Lutterworth again this season as they face Lutterworth Town in the United Counties Premier South.

Another side Nuneaton fans will be familiar with is Brackley Town, managed by former Borough player Gavin Cowan.
Brackley finally managed to win the National League North last season on a final day thriller, after 5 failed play off attempts, and will play in Step 1 for the first time next season, so will be a tough test for Town, as two promoted champions of two different leagues face off.
Other former Borough players who could feature include Danny Newton, Gareth Dean, Alex Gudger and Shane Byrne.
NB: Please note that due to the Oval being unavailable for this match that it will be played at the Leicester Road Stadium in Hinckley. It is an all-pay fixture.

Bedworth United (a)
The Oval, Coventry Road, Bedworth, CV12 8NN
What was a new environment for Nuneaton fans last season will now be familiar territory this season as they face Bedworth United in an expression of the continued friendship between the two neighbours. It will also be the first match on Bedworths relaid 4G pitch.
Bedworth could have faced Nuneaton in the league this season but secured their survival with a game to spare thanks to an Easter Monday victory over Rugby Town, who were relegated and will play Nuneaton this season.
The fledgling Nuneaton Town side were only in their 2nd match when the sides met last season but gave Bedworth a good test, and will hope to do the same again.

Nuneaton Griff (h)
The Oval, Coventry Road, Bedworth, CV12 8NN
Nuneaton's two premier sides will face off for the third time in a year, this time in pre-season.
Fans will remember two very competitive figures last season as Town and Griff met for the first time competitively at the same level of football.
Though Griff earnt a very good 1-1 draw early in the season through Jared Bradshaw, who would move to Hinckley shortly after, a crowd of 1183 watched Town put it right at the Pingles on Boxing Day with a James Harrison double as they earned one more of what would be a club record winning streak. That would be the 3rd highest crowd in the whole of Step 6 in the 2024/25 season, beaten only by an organised groundhop and a title decider.
Previous meetings
26th December 2024
Nuneaton Griff 0-2 Nuneaton Town
(James Harrison 15, 64)
26th August 2024

Thursday 17th July 7:30PM
Sutton United (B'ham) (a)
Coleshill Road, Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, B75 7BA
Distance - 21 miles
Another of last season's opponents follow two days later as Sutton United are the hosts.
Like with the Griff, Town were made to drop points by an impressive early season performance by Sutton United, but Nuneaton again put it right during their long winning run, putting 6 past them.
The second goal of those 6 was a blistering strike from outside the box by Aaron Williams which not only was Nuneaton Town's 100th league goal of their title winning season but was also featured on ITV's Central News as their goal of the week. The goal would be nominated for NTFC's goal of the season but would ultimately miss out to Declan Somel’s sumptuous volley in Bilston.

Last season: 10th place Midland Football League Division 1 (Step 6)
Saturday 19th July 3PM
Stafford Rangers (a)
Astonfields Road, Stafford, ST16 3UF
Distance - 45 miles
One surprise addition to the preseason list is an away trip up the M6 to face Stafford Rangers for the first time in over 14 years.
Nuneaton fans of a certain age will remember the season we faced Middlesbrough in the FA Cup with fondness. What is often forgotten about that season is the blistering title race with Stafford Rangers and Northwich Victoria, eventually won by Northwich after a late drop off by Boro. Droylsden would go on to beat Boro in a famous play off semi final.
With Nuneaton travelling to Histon this season it's like it's 20 years ago all over again!
Stafford had former Boro player Cameron Belford in goal last season but moved on at the end of the campaign. Current Town player-coach Justin Marsden scored in the previous meeting between these teams all the way back in 2011.

Tuesday 22nd July 7:45pm
Leamington (h)
The Oval, Coventry Road, Bedworth, CV12 8NN
Nuneaton's final match of a condensed pre-season sees them face off with another Warwickshire team, Leamington.
The match will bring back memories of the previous Nuneaton Town reformation back in 2008, where Town lost out on the Southern League Division 1 Midlands league title to Leamington in a thrilling title race, before winning the play offs, and getting the better of them in the Southern League Premier the following season by earning promotion again through the play offs.
The title of 'best team in Warwickshire' belonged to Nuneaton for many years, but has been taken by Leamington in recent years due to the financial troubles experienced in the northern end of the county. However Nuneaton will look to try to restore some pride in that competition ahead of the league season opening match the following Saturday.
Former Nuneaton players that could feature include Theo Streete and Adam Walker.
