FIXTURE NEWS | March game to be replayed

The United Counties League committee have decided that the abandoned away fixture at March Town United should be replayed in full and should take place on Tuesday 31st March (19:45pm). This decision is subject to appeal. We do not plan to appeal, however if March exercise their right, we will update fans accordingly. Once the match arrangements have been confirmed, we will, as ever, share the details with supporters.

The League committee met on 17th to make the decision and with rule 8.37 in mind, decided the following, "At the time of the abandonment the score was 2 – 1 to March Town FC, with time still to play, it is feasible that Nuneaton could have scored, therefore the Committee agreed that the match should be replayed."

Rule 8.37 - "In the event that a match is abandoned for reasons over which neither Club has control the Club playing at home shall retain the gate receipts for such uncompleted match and the Board. Has the power to order that either: (a) the original match stands as a completed match, or (b) the match shall be replayed (and the terms upon which that match is to be replayed)".
