WHITEHEAD-THOMPSON JOINS TOWN
Nuneaton Town FC are pleased to announce that defender Ben Whitehead-Thompson has joined the club for the 2025/26 season.
The 22 year old centre back started 41 games for second placed Heather St John's in the Midland Football League Division 1 last season. He has also played for Hinckley AFC, making over 50 appearances over different spells with the club, and in 2021/22 picked up the Players' Player of the Season award. He also spent some time at Rugby Town FC during the 2022/23 season making 8 appearances.
"Darren and I are really excited again to bring Ben to the club," explained joint manager Russell Dodd. He added, "Ben is a big, strong and athletic young defender with bags of potential. We have no doubts that he will be a real asset to the squad. We also tried to sign Ben last season however he chose to stay loyal to Heather which says a lot about him as a person".
Ben will join the defence along with Callum Carsley, Loyiso Recci and Trevor Edwards who have already agreed terms for next season and discussions ongoing with others.
Welcome to the club Ben!
